Dale Chihuly is known for breathing life into glass. His work speaks for itself and is on display in more than 200 museums around the world. A temporary display at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, introduced nature to fine art. Color is what we notice first as we stroll along the garden trails, and yet, it is harmonious differences that surprise us.
In the day, the brilliant glass stands out against the dusty, green desert. At night when the garden tends to rest, the illumination allows the garden to play.
Glass is the most magical of all materials….
as it transmits light in the most magical ways. – Chihuly

I like to say I work with four materials – glass, plastic, water, and ice….

But it is the light that makes them come alive. – Chihuly

I am obsessed with color…

I never saw one I didn’t like. – Chihuly

I want people to be overwhelmed with light and color…..

In a way they have never experienced. – Chihuly

I don’t know if something can be too colorful.

Because after all, color to the eye is like music to the ear. – Chihuly

Stay inspired. Your potential will be what you decide it is.

And your light will still shine when daylight falls.
