Sometimes you can be living on the edge and not even realize it.   Daydream with me for a moment.  Lupine and Indian-paintbrush dot the mountain hillside, the wind is a gentle tickle, and there is a creek evident only because of the trickling sound of water.  Nothing else is in MY way.

Nothing.

Just listen TO the quiet and…now…

…the crackle of twigs  as a black bear happily invites himself into my space.  I wondered where he was going, if he frequented this area daily, and if he realized what a beautiful place he lived in. Truth is we all know the drill when Spring happens, so I just watched. I just wondered. In awe.

But…

“Open the door, the door is locked”!  It was a whisper of panic and didn’t really fit into the serenity I had created for myself.  “Open the Door”!  Whoops, it wasn’t a dream, was it?   Not to worry, while “my cowboy” was on the Cusp of fear, “Click”, the door opened and the adorable black bear scurried right by the rear of the Jeep…to my cusp of delight.
