Today I write about my third blog award for the month. Not really sure how to speak to that, especially when the people who have nominated me go above and beyond the call to inspire.  I don’t pretend to be a good writer or be an expert at blog design, but I muddle through for the simple pleasure of writing and finding connection with like-minded people.  

Meet Adventures of a Busy Mom !   I will just start by saying one of my favorite things about her is that she signs her blogs, With Aloha. That, itself,  tells so much about her spirit and the life she lives. Visit her in Hawaii, but learn about how a small town girl from Nebraska became a world traveler, because of military moves. Her spirituality is captivating, and she is an expert at balancing life as a military spouse. Lacy, thank you for being true to you and inspiring us to do the same.  I love reading the thoughts about your unique journey. Thank you for bringing us along.

To think that, I too, might be “captivating, inspiring and motivating”.  Humbled…again.

Nominees Questions:
1 What has been your biggest accomplishment? I am certain my biggest accomplishment must be: to arrive to today. We all have ups, and downs, and all-arounds that life dictates.  I think to embrace that, and to say, yes, today is a new day, is an accomplishment. (PS. my daughters are my greatest reward, but that’s a given, right?).

2 Where do you draw your inspiration to blog? I am fortunate to have lived  a lot of places.  I have learned how to speak other languages and assimilate to cultural differences. Cultures,  people,  stories, and experiences  IN those places inspire my blog. I try not to just take pictures, and instead tell about what is IN the photos.  

3 If you could only have 3 possessions, what would they be?  I would pick 1, my home.  I moved 27 times before I landed here and I am NOT moving again.  hahaha. 

4 If you could be any profession other than your own, what would it be?  There was a time I pursued a 2nd career as a Landscape Designer.  I still do that independently,  but think I would enjoy a career in Sports Medicine.  I enjoyed coaching opportunities over the years and am intrigued at how much knowledge there is for understanding the capabilities of athletic performance.  Making people better, stronger, faster healthier.

5 What is your favorite inspiring quote?  Today: Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.

3 Things About Me:  

  1. I am not very good at sitting.  I  relax  by baking, and tending to my gardens, but I admit, a good campfire and a glass of wine works too.
  2. The words: There is nothing to do, does not exist in my world.
  3.  I love to be outside, and I talk to the ocean….
