I woke up to the sound of wind, choppy water,  and a news report that said there was a monsoon at the lake.  I pushed the button on the coffee maker, anyway, and peeled a banana.  Today was to be my first attempt at paddle boarding, and I promised a friend I would be there, no matter what.   I figured, I was going to spend most of the time in the water anyway, so what’s a little wind and rain.  Just weather the storm. That’s the attitude, right?    A turn onto the beach, and…

I arrived to this; a dissipating storm and a sunrise that said,  you are just in time.

Sometimes those savage storms blow through as a reminder to celebrate tranquility.   

Life is like that, too.
