A right hand turn will take you to the overlook of an old mine in Bisbee, AZ. A left turn will drop you back in time, instantly. It’s surreal to drive through the ghost town of Lowell, AZ because it is an unexpected surprise. Erie Street probably looks exactly like it did in the 50’s. Oddly enough, our modern cars and conveniences look out of place, but what is really unusual is the .22 gas prices.

It is a long time since petrol was 22cents/gallon. We still have a few working petrol stations that look like this but the majority have gone.

Yes. A little sad. Not the price necessarily, but the simplistic way of life. When we turned down Erie Street. I wanted to just stop a feel like I had gone back. Thanks for commenting, and stopping by.

Brings me back to when I was a kid. Gas wasn’t much more than that in the 60’s either.

Agreed. We can’t even buy water for that now. This was a fun blast to the past. Thanks for stopping by.
