Gifts are not always tied up with pretty ribbon under the tree.
Sometimes they come in the form of extending a hand, a promise for lunch, or time.

Or a smile, or a hug, or a puppy wiggling its tale, or a gentle touch over the shoulder, or a joke said among friends, or a bottle, or… or… I’m sure I can think of something more.

yes. Its pretty simple and yet sometimes we think gifting has to be expensive with monetary value attached.

I’ve just had a week of sharing time and keeping up contacts… good chats at Work party night last Friday night, supper out with good friend Monday evening, accompanied my dad (has dementia) to bingo Tuesday evening, lunch out with hubby Wednesday, took my mum to a funeral Thursday morning, lovely company & dinner out with some of my students Thursday…must be kissing the Blarney Stone that did it! Being present, so much better than presents!!

I love this Marie. And no doubt so did everyone who surrounds you. Yes.. being present.
