Finding a way to live the simple life is one of life’s supreme complications. T.S. Elliot
One of the greatest challenges in life is to find balance in how you live. It’s complicated, I know, and to do exactly that often means letting go. Letting go of people who get us down, jobs that make us miserable, and walking through a life that isn’t in unison with us.
I know it is a lot easier said then done.
Think of it like this. With everything there is a season. Have you ever noticed how trees mimic how wonderful it is to let things go? In the autumn, leaves fall from the trees, because they are no longer growing and they let go of what is no longer needed in an effort to move on to bigger and better things.
The trees will be renewed in the spring, and whether they like it or not things will change. They just have to let them go.
At what point do we accept that change can be good?
In spring their new growth is bold and the blossoms make a statement about who they are. They will get bigger, stronger and become more productive with age. And even with their revival, the blossoms fade and fall as a part of their change, all to make room for their finale.
Grateful we are recipients of their fruits of their labor all because they can let it go.
Simple enough?
How do you find balance in your life? Is it the people? Your lifestyle? Love to hear from you.
