Quietude: Defined as a state of stillness, calmness and quiet in a person or place. It’s not something that happens by accident. It happens when we are deliberate about finding the time and space to step away from our every day life and simply… be.
I love quiet. On most days it comes with the sunrise and fresh brewed coffee on my patio. Not always. In the past, quiet has been on top of mountains, sitting at the edge of a lake, or overlooking canyons. For you, it might look different.
The breeze at dawn has something to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep. – Rumi
When we engage in this quietude we look closer at contemplation, appreciate timeless moments and dwell in nothingness. And it feels nice. It feels rejuvenating and it feels necessary.
Let us be silent, that we may hear the whispers of the gods. – RW Emerson
There is a voice that doesn’t use words, listen. -Rumi
When we drop into nature, we can hear ourselves more clearly.
