Every step you take is a mark you are leaving for someone else.  It is our story; the story someone or something gave to us to hold onto.  Isn’t it true that we influence people everyday in this walk though life and they influence us in return?

I think there is a desire to be remembered for what you have contributed to the world, and yet most of us don’t really know what it is.   I am not sure any of us actually go out there to change the world.

Maybe some of us do.

I think most of us just go through life doing the best we can, never really knowing if we made a difference in the lives of others or not.

And I promise you this…through our travels and the footprints we have followed, we are forever indebted for the ways you have touched our lives.

And isn’t that what it is all about?  Isn’t it amazing to think you can unknowingly leave footprints on the sands of time? An impact so great that it continues to grow?

The goal isn’t to live forever, it is to create something that will. -Palahnuik

On this day we walk back in time.  And if you listen you can them whisper the stories of their ancestors and the importance of carrying on tradition. And sometimes I wonder if the motivation behind the World Hoop Festival is not fun, and instead an effort to give rise to the next generation to keep walking the walk.

Certainly travel is more than seeing the sights; it is the change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of the living -Beard

Bryce National Park is a place where you know you have walked into a wonder of the world. The centuries of wind and water have sculpted the hoodoos, arches, and spires, into an interactive art gallery. And the stories shared by cowboys about a more ancient people transports you to another place in time.

Legacy is not leaving something for people, it is leaving something in them. -Strople

Sometimes this walk through life is intimate with captivating memories of a life well lived. And trust me, it is often slow and steady that wins the race to your dreams.

Cascade Canyon Trail in the Tetons is a favorite hike for both of us. The scenery is breathtaking, but it is the mama moose nurturing her newborn that is forever etched in my mind.

You never really know what is around the next corner. It could be everything. It could be nothing. Just keep moving forward. And one day you will look back and see the mountains you have climbed. -Hiddleston

Amen.

These days, we spend a lot of time sliding down the other side of that mountain, and bouncing around in our Jeep. And yet the road doesn’t ever end.

Does it?

So take that step, leave more footprints for us to follow, and let your heart be your guide.

Wind Kisses, Donna

How about you? Is there someone or something that has influenced your walk through life? Is it more spiritual? Was it something you had to overcome?
