Let’s see.
Funny thing is…you could pull up seat today and I promise you would sit there in silence. Today was one of those days I enjoyed deep thoughts. I was thinking how quickly October passed by, contemplated whether a trip to New England was necessary, and realized with the cooler temps, the snakes should be in hiding, and we can begin our sunrise hikes.
Tomorrow.
Today I sat by the pool in my rickety, blue rocker and successfully planned my winter gardens…in my mind anyway. The pool will be a place to reflect until next March. I am good with that. The best thing about the changing seasons, is everything feels fresh, and new.

Fresh, and new?
Hmmm.
I have shared a lot about October over the last few weeks and wondered if there might be another way to share my month. So I pulled up a seat with a with Xingfumama, to see what my month looked like in regards to places to sit.
Simple fun. Stay with me.
Photos of me don’t often end up here, but grateful for a friend who captured a favorite moment from my birthday celebration at the beginning of the month. The sunset was timed perfectly.
Life does not come with instructions on how to live, but it does come with trees, sunsets, smiles, and laughter.-Debbie Shapiro

Monument Valley is always a lesson in culture, another way of life, and appreciation for our own. Horseback is commonplace, but the wagons from the day are nothing in comparison to Jeepin’ around the landscape.
Some call it the middle of nowhere. I call it the center of my world.-unknown

Wait for me!

The search for autumn took us north to Flagstaff.
Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this, their only chance to soar. -Della Owens.

Life.

And the last weeks of the month are for Friday Night Lights.
Sometimes they win and sometimes they lose, but they never run out of popcorn and pretzels.

Welcome to November.

Thank you so much Natalie. So nice to hear you will taking over PPAC. I know you will do a nice job. It’s a fun one, along with your coffee share. In fact i could probably connect this post. It’s contemplative.

What a treat Donna. I would sit by the pool but the DYI in me would have it in the shed and repaired as it would bound to collapse under….that would be my luck!!
I too love you, granddaughter and sunset photo. The Jeep and that road….fantastic scene. I have no idea about Halloween but I just love the pumpkin creature. Thanks for joining in 🙂 🙂

Oh gosh. I wish we were neighbors (not JUST because of your DIY shed.). The chairs are on their third color, and definitely in need of some TLC.
I miss having space to do things. Our house is a nice size, but very little yard space. Common for Arizona suburbs .
Thank you for your note. Halloween, yes, I guess a silly American thing. And like everything else controversial. Lol.

I would exchange fixing stuff for a ride in the desert 🙂

My part would be easy. I just pack the cooler. Maybe you will get this way someday. There are quite a few bloggers you’d know, not to far from here.

I know, it would be good to have a US blog-up like you have been having 🙂

Beautiful photos, Donna. The October eves looks so stunning over there. Autumn brings a longing to get away from the unreal things of life, out into the forest at night with a campfire.

Ah, you placed words to right where I would like to be. Thank you for your nice note. Yes…this is my favorite time of year in Arizona.
Thank you again.

This is so cute, Donna! The picture of you is great and such a glow! It’s a happy picture in a happy place. The pumpkin at the end made me smile. I hope your trip to Flagstaff went well. They got more snow than we did, and it snowed all day on Thursday here. Nothing stuck, though. 🙂 Thanks for linking this week. 🙂

Thank you MArsha. I heard you got snow. I tried to convince Dale to make a road trip. But he figured it would melt, and we had house projects.
I love connecting/linking with you when I can.
The restaurant was A Different Point if View and is listed as one of the most romantic dinner venues in Scottsdale. We love it. Always a splurge, but we feel like we deserve it. Lol.

This is such a delightful post, Donna. Your photos are stunning. I love the image of you with your granddaughter (I picked up that’s who the little girl was in the comments). The sun setting behind you has made for a beautiful picture. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this piece. Thank you for sharing it. Ellie

Thank you Ellie. It’s hard to narrow down a whole month in a few photos. They were ones that were near and dead. Yes. My sweet granddaughter and grateful for a good friend who captured it.

Lovely post Donna, full of magical places to sit – what a great way to review your month. Your own chair by the pool entices me 😀

Thanks Sarah. We love our pool. It’s pretty, I think as we designed the yard, but more then that, I love the exercise in the summer, And the quiet place in the winter. It’s funny. I do have friends that visit from cold climates. They have no problem hopping in in the winter.
Thanks again.

To me it seems the height of luxury to have a pool in your own garden, but I know it’s much more the norm over there!
