Are you like me and love what feels like the untouched?

White Sands is that place. Like a mirage, the dazzling wind blown dunes, shimmer in the Tularosa Basin of southern New Mexico. The sand shifts and settles daily, allowing us to bask in majesty of a blank canvas.
Wind Kisses, Donna
Our 2021 visit is here.
Much like life, isn’t it, Donna? Always changing, forcing us to adjust. White Sands is another place I want to re-visit as my childhood visit was too many years ago. Thanks for the reminder.

We have been there twice. We will definitely return again. Last week we arrived at noon. Not so great for photos. I often say, it is the place I want to be for both sunrise and sunset. It is fascinating.

Did you see any aliens on the loose from Roswell??? 🙂

hahaha no. WE were not that interested in going there. It is probably fun, but we wanted to move along.

Oh my! What a stunning capture – I love the sand mirrored by the clouds. How did you get the “Adventure” in your feature photo?!!

The sign is mine. I keep it in our camper for moments like this. I painted it yellow to match our jeep and usually put it on a picnic table while we our camping. “Home” must always feel homey, right?

I love to see these plains. Undisturbed by the steps of human. Looks amazingly wonderful 🙂

Thank you, Hammad. I tried to get it out for #weekendsky. Too late. But figured we might all enjoy the tranquility.

Definitely no where else. And it never gets old. I always look forward to going back. Always some thing different to find, and changes in drifts.

It is so beautiful there. I really hope to get there for an overnight trip someday so we can see both the sunrise and set. Usually we are driving through and stop in for a brief visit and a few photos.

Absolutely beautiful. Untouched is always better, like with snow.
