Just tell me where we are going. I will be ready. The last two months have felt like that. When I sat down last night to figure out the amount of time we have been home vs on the road, the road was the winner.
Our excursions are a place where we meet in the middle with our ideas and our, this is necessary, list. And we go. Our trailer is hooked to the back of the Jeep, and the map is tucked in beside my seat. It is funny, because family and many friends say this way of life doesn’t look fun. Opinions come in the form of: “Aren’t you at the stage in life to slow down or have an RV and just see the country?”
Nope.
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. We lived in an RV for three years, two of those years on staff at Yellowstone National Park. When we got the off-road trailer, it’s purpose was to get off that beaten path, fall asleep with the Milky Way, and wake with the sunrise and the sound of the birds.

And where else can you find the yoga tree, or is it tree yoga?

Blessed are the curious , they shall have adventure.

When home, outside is still on my agenda. My gardens need tending and the patios go nicely with a glass of wine. Despite travel and the Arizona heat, my gardens are thriving. I chuckle to think the plants should be dying without all my fussing, but since the goal was to let them bloom where planted, I leave well enough alone.
Time spent in self-reflection is never wasted. It is a necessary, and intimate date, with yourself.- Wong

In the United States, May brings Memorial Day, time to honor and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Most years we are home to help with flag placement at our National Cemetery. We gather with family, friends and look forward to a visitor from Liberty Wildlife-an eagle. We do mourn, but we also celebrate, because it is exactly we they fought for, and what they would have wanted.
I know….because…I have known too many.
...And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me – Lee Greenwood

Yes, summer has arrived here in Arizona. Our schedule has been cleared…well kind of. Our adventures are to the grocery stores as we fill the house with popsicles, lemonade, hot dogs, chips and mac and cheese. The grandkids are on the way.
Always be ready to have the time of your life.
