Always be ready to have the time of your life.

The wedding invitation from my niece arrived in time to complete our summer plans. We booked the hotel, and looked for flights, figuring this would coincide with our annual trip home. Perfect, right?

But wait…does everything have to be tucked into a neat little schedule? Can this be more than a quick trip? Can we take advantage of the grandkids back at school, and the freedom that comes with retirement? My husband shouted from his office that he needed my blessing before he hit, confirm flight.

I said no. And I laughed to think he knew exactly what that meant…

We decided the drive from Arizona to New Hampshire would take us twelve days. And instead of a suitcase, we pack the trailer and started dotting places on the map that might be fun.

It is a game changer. The journey will look a little different than the roadless roads we often travel.

And this time, the bikes will come with us, a means of transportation in towns and cities along the way.

We are ecstatic to learn we secured a place on Hampton Beach, NH for a week prior to the wedding. Not only is it a local treasure that requires a lottery to camp there, it is also home.

And I know lobster, ice cream or both will be on the daily menu.

Aside from that, we will meander across the country, enjoy basking in milestone celebrations with family, and returning through Canada.*

I guess now you will have to trust me when I say:

To be continued….
