We all have those days.  You know the ones.  The alarm didn’t go off.   Your hair was clearly styled with a blender.  Your coffee landed in your lap on your way to work, and that trusty navigation took you to the wrong side of town.

Yes, we all have those days.

Come along anyway, and join me on one of those days.

In truth, there are plenty of people who would love to have my bad days. It had rained in Arizona. Yes, we needed it, but I was late for my sunrise walk, and I forgot my waterproof shoes. I grumbled at my drenched feet, and muscled through because in essence… I showed up. Better late than never.

The sun did too. It always does.

The break of day catapulted me to the reflections I crave. I love mornings. I think they check me, and gift me the chance to embrace what the day presents. What I do with it is up to me. There were puddles today. The choice is real, but I take the picture and go around.

When I got home I saw my neighbors oranges were freshly washed. Certainly that any day now must be today.    And when I walked by the rain-droppity sunflower, it winked with the perception of, “See, it’s not so bad.”  And I smile appreciating the chance to be a beginner every single day.

With the setting sun, I found irony in the rose appearing to mimic  the evening  sky, and I wonder it if  is supposed to.  Is there a profound connectedness in this road called life that we know nothing about?  I learned the rose is called, Peace and I understand why.  There is such comfort in this moment at the end of the day.

And we rest….grateful for another one of those days. And nights.
