Surely of all the wonders in the world, the horizon is the greatest. – Freya Stark.
Moab, Utah
We were rumbling along on the top of Fins and Things, in Moab, one late afternoon. I chuckled to think, for them, it was all about the rumbling along.
For me, as the passenger, this exact moment in time told a different story. It was quiet, reflective, and I remember looking at the road leading to the horizon. It seemed like we could drive on forever in this vast landscape. We were tiny, and insignificant.
And once again, I am reminded that the greatest things in life are made up of the littlest things.
Right?
The tiniest grain of sand, a droplet of rain, a seed dropped in the crack of slick rock, and the breeze?
All brought us to this GREAT moment in time.

The little things which make up the moment: “The tiniest grain of sand, a droplet of rain, a seed dropped in the crack of slick rock, and the breeze” … beautiful.

Looks a wonderful place to go, Donna. Love that sky, love your words. The feeling. That feeling of how insignificant we are, is the best, the greatest thing to put our existance right.

Utah has a big sky, Donna. It seems immense and yet within the universe, it too is small.

So true. We talk of that often when we are in those areas that seem so vast. Just a blink of time too.
