It is the dim haze of mystery that adds enchantment to pursuit.
Sankt Englmar is a Bavarian town northeast of Munich, Germany. Rumor told us of a nature park on the outskirts of town called Waldwipfelweg or the Treetop Forest Path. It is a 2km pedestrian path that will take you above the trees and through the forested landscape. That is just the beginning. In the summer it is active with hikers and there is hands on opportunities to interact with the natural sciences. Be sure to visit the Cave of Senses and don’t miss the upside down house .
In the winter it becomes a wonderland. And for the hopeless romantic, I believe it is a must. I know it is cold and it is a bit early for snow, but trust me. Take my hand, and walk with me through this magical forest that will warm your soul.
It begins on a bridge that dances on the treetops,
And escorts us to what seems like secret and mystical village.
It is here we find a quaint marketplace brimming with the crafts of local artisans,
And temptations to make you ponder.
And as promised we find romance in what warms the heart…
And the soul.
Wherever you are, BE there.
Forever grateful for the gift of time…..

Yes. Beautiful place. It is actually on my to do list for the summer. As much as I loved winter, summer would give us more time for exploring. Thanks for stopping in again
