Last week the pool guy knocked on our back door. He was concerned we had a pool leak or a crack since the auto fill couldn’t keep up.
We laughed.
Summer vibes on point.

Ya it is pretty. The beauty in having a pool in the backyard is we can swim early and late in the day, or night swim. The kids love to go anytime. But they also love to eat any time so they can be bribed out. But ya…its pretty hot.

What a great place to be on a hot day! I don’t understand why you laughed at the pool guy however? In fact. what is a pool guy?!

haha, yes this was a quick post, probably does need a little clarification. The “pool guy” is the gentleman who maintains our pool for us. He checks all the systems, and chemicals weekly to make sure it’s running properly. And he cleans it. The grandkids call him the pool guy.
We thought the situation was funny. He was concerned we were losing water from a crack, or a leak. We knew it was from the 4 grandkids splashing up a storm for days. There is often just as much water outside the pool as inside.
We have a great time, and it is the best way to cool off here. Donna

Oh wow, that pool is yours?!! It’s bigger than our whole garden I think 😆 It looks fabulous – I’d assumed it was in a park somewhere. It’s not the norm for families to have their own pools around here, although it would be really nice to do so if we keep on having heatwaves like our last one!

It IS our pool. It’s pretty common for people to have pools in the Phoenix area. We love it, as the grandkids do. We designed it. It’s a full lap, and the circular park has been a perfect transition for the little ones. We call that section the walrus beach. Feel pretty lucky to wake at 5:30AM and swim (or run in it) before it gets to hot. Evenings are great too.

Oh yes, I would love an early morning swim here, and perhaps another in the evening when it’s hot!

Gorgeous pool and such cuties in and around them. 🙂 Sorry we are going to miss you on the 15th of Sept. If you change you plans, let us know. I’m sitting next to you whenever the next time is. 🙂

This summer is so busy. Between helping parents, and watching grandkids we try to get away. We will be wandering about for about a month beginning mid August.

Thanks Nancy. Yes, busy summer. Haven’t had a lot of blogging time, and the good things about that is more content. I’ll have to catch up. Hopefully your summer is lush, green, cool and full of gardening. I think you are in a heat wave though. Not to tough for you guys.

Hahaha, full house is an understatement, we need to back up the truck from Costco to fill the snack cupboard. It’s great fun when they are around though.

Now that’s the best way to spend these hot days. Even if it wasn’t the kids splashing around, it could be from evaporation, hahahahaha.
You must be back from your trip? We will have to get together,
XOXO

Yes, true. It’s been so hot. But the amount of water is hilarious. I will have them full time for the next few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by. I will catch up… Donna

Pool fun! Much needed in the heat I guess. I could do with one as well, but not afford it though. It is very expensive here, but people started buying them when covid came along. Lucky you, children and grandchildren!

Yes. The price for pools has skyrocketed here as well. It was nice to have during covid! Many home come with them in AZ. We have loved it. Thanks.
