Barrett Jackson is a collector, car auction and is the place to be for car lovers. It is here where thousands of automobiles cross the auction block in front of a global audience. The auctions can be attended in Arizona, Florida, Nevada, and Texas.
Honestly, I am more of a bicycle person. I always have been, always will be, and luckily Barrett Jackson has something for everyone. We go every year with intent to watch the entertainment.
Ok that’s my intent. “I am who I am your approval isn’t needed”.

I love the stories, and the history of yesterdays cars. I love people watching, the voice of the auctioneer, and shake my head at how quickly millions of dollars change hands.
This is what 1.3 million looks like right off the stage.

I admit to always meeting the most interesting people while my husband pretends to be looking. He loves everything about it, while I just wander around. I have met a few car show guys that that were unknown to me. I have talked to people interested in bidding on the original Bat-mobile, and the Dukes of Hazards car. I have learned, that often, that hobo-looking guy in the corner, is a millionaire.
And, just in case you didn’t know… you can’t be at a car show without running into Jay Leno.

Nostalgia at its best. This Good Humor Ice Cream truck went for $40,000, and I secretly wished I bid on it.

My favorite story of the night. The Make-a-Wish Foundation made this happen. A teenager from Iowa was flown here, per his wish, to auction a vehicle. This Jeep, auctioned by him went for $425,000!

I hope you have enjoyed the tiniest glimpse of Barrett Jackson through my eyes, and if the crowds and the lifestyles of the rich and famous are not your forte…we have ghost towns too.

Oh, the Shell station and the patrol car for my choice. But that first car is fabulous.

Always fun. The town of Lowell is a fun drive through if you are ever near Bisbee, or tombstone. Donna

Hihhi, I’d bid on that police car. And after I have taken photos of all the peculiar, nostalgic and pretty ones – I’d be chatting with the hobos.

haha. Thats what I do. It is fun what you learn about people. I think that’s what I like about blogging. So many people from so many walks of life and diverse cultures, and we are here. I am grateful for al of your who speak more that one language. And impressed.

I love Barrett-Jackson, haven’t missed one since I first went to Scottsdale’s auction in 2012. We, too, ran into Jay Leno one year… well, not exactly. It was a lifesize cutout. >grin<

Mr. Leno told me about the Dwarf Car Museum on his car TV show. His visit there is well documented in photos posted at the Museum.

As long as we have lived in Arizona… we have never gone. We may just have to give it a try one day! Great pictures!

Yes. At least once. Like I said. I am not necessarily a “car person” and I still have a great time. The best time is the last two days.
