What is my ideal day?
How is that even a question? I am happy with a cup of coffee and slippers on my morning feet. From there everything is a crapshoot, and yet when I open my eyes with a grateful heart, it’s all good, always good.
I do love any connection to nature, and a morning walk to the sunrise is a great start to any day.

I love photography with hopes of capturing exact moments in time, especially with my grandchildren. Here, a simple mural changes perspective with her curiosity at the Phoenix Zoo,

And the fierce, elephant hunter in her teaches us a little something about ideal situations too.

In Bavaria, not all views belonged to me,

But with a little luck, and creativity I like mine just the same.

And at the Grand Canyon, they say the best views come after the hardest climbs.

But for me, the best views are simply the ones we share.

Thank you, Marsha. I have posted the feet a few times, but it is a reminder of a great trip together, and it always seems to fit. “If the shoe fits…” right?

That Monument Valley shot belongs in a travel brochure! And I love the one of your granddaughter looking up at the mural, and your fun framing of the Grand Canyon view 😀

Thank you, Sarah. We had to get up pretty early to get the monument valley shot, and it was so worth it. There were just a few others with us. And a fox startled me just prior to this photo. I have a whole photo shoot of it coming up and what I loved were the way the shadows played with the landscape here. Wide open places are great for that. We have been here plenty of times, it was our first sunrise. Sadly the Tribal Park is still closed with covid restrictions. The Navajo Nation was hit pretty hard.

That’s a shame. We loved our time in that region, especially around the Canyon de Chelly and of course Monument Valley

Yes. We do too. Spiritual in many ways. Canyon de Chelly is a real treat, a little harder to get too for most. Glad you took the time.

You have a special eye. What a gift! And we get to share it.

Not sure I have a special eye, but thank you Geoff. I find God works in special ways and sometimes I get pretty lucky that it falls into my camera. I do love the hobby though, especially since we can see photos right away. We often talk about taking a roll of film (in the day) and having to wait two weeks to see if we captured anything. LOL.
