Lots of people are choosing a Word of the Year.
I am not. It overwhelms me to think of how one word can guide me, but kudos and respect to those who find a word that resonates with them.
What’s the point?
I have other things on my mind. Trying to gather some favorite memories from January feels like a challenge as I want to post each and every moment in time. We had the best month despite some bumps in the road. Those things are to share over coffee or a long phone call together.
Not here.
I am in a good place. I feel like January bounced me back to the place I know. I see my grandkids often, my exercise routine includes sunrise hikes a few days a week, and road-trips in our Turtleback are a blast. I have more time to volunteer, and life is moving along.
January’s memories? I decided a collage of 31 images from the month would point me in the right direction.
And then I realized there were a lot of points to that word debate. I guess January taught me that. There were: viewpoints, waypoints, making points, Yavapai Point, Font’s Point, Weight Watcher points, pointless, pointy, points of interest, starting points, brownie points, pencil points, prickly points, on point, point of no return (so I thought), and points taken.
I looked through the 31 images again, wondering if they were the ones that I want to look back on one day.
And my WOTY came to mind. It is not what you think. I had to take a closer look at the photos to pinpoint my vision, and grab my personal inspiration and guide for 2022.
The word?

It did look like you had a point Donna. I love the words to emphasise how you feel for last month. Your photos are always wonderfully stunning from the mountains to the sea. Thanks for your Changing Season 🙂 🙂

Oh my, oh my. I love this post so much. And your word! ❤ Not just because finally somebody else has 30 photos in their post, but what photos! I loved seeing them big in the gallery like this, and can hardly believe this was all just one month, January, no less. The owl and the purplish illuminated girl are both so precious, but you are right, the last window deserves that final spot. Let it last!

Thank you Manja. The little girls was my granddaughter. We were at Disney on Ice. She knew every word to every song, and used the snowflake wand as a microphone. It was so cute.
Yes. I hemmed and hawed for a few days trying to figure out the best way to narrow down my month. This was it. Thank you again. Donna

Great Pictures from your fabulous On Point January. You had a fun January! Life is good!
I too am not a word of the year person and cant really figure out why or maybe how to pick one word for a whole year?? But Kudos to those who do.
I also do not make resolutions. However… I “continue” to love life!
Happy February!
